FOOD INC. DOCUMENTARY SCREENINGS
What's a country to eat?
1 in 3 American children are expected to develop type 2 diabetes, agriculture is the leading cause of climate change, and family farmers are going out of business left and right. The award-winning documentary Food, INC challenges Americans to re-think where their food comes from and take action to improve the country's health, economy, and its relationship to the environment.
Food INC will be playing for FREE October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at the KUC theater, 7pm each night. Each night, following the film, there will be a panel discussion featuring members of the Student Dietetic Association, Students for Environmental Action, Raiders Against Animal Cruelty, and more. Hope to see you there!

CRAM THE VAN OCTOBER 7TH!
WHAT: Cram the Van! We'll be setting up a van on the knoll for YOU to cram with supplies to donate for Almost Home, a local animal rescue. We can't do this without your help! Please spread the word by passing this onto your friends, family, and co-workers.
WHAT TO DONATE: **Items can be NEW or USED** dog/cat food, monetary donations, towels, pee pads, cat litter, litter boxes, dog houses, dog crates, cat carriers, collars, leashes, bowls, beds, harnesses, blankets, brushes, bleach, cleaning supplies, paper towels, copy paper, office supplies, water buckets, humane traps (catch and release) hand sanitizer, pens, treats, and horse supplies, food scoops, muzzles, shampoo, puppy/kitten formula, scratching posts, toys, nail clippers, hair clippers, pooper scoopers, hard plastic kiddy pools, frontline plus, heartguard, newspaper, pillow cases, ziploc bags, gift cards to petsmart or petco
WHO: Hosted by RAAC (Raiders Against Animal Cruelty)
WHEN: October 7th, all day!
WHERE: MTSU KUC Knoll
WHY: Between 3-4 million cats and dogs are euthanized in American shelters every year. The two main reasons are because people buy their pets instead of adopting animals that need a home, and the second reason being the lack of spay/neuter. This is unacceptable and we can all work together to make this number zero! In addition to cramming the van we'll also have information on low-cost spay/neuter and the benefits of adoption.
